The appellant is a consumer having consumer number 61 under the
electrical Section, Ponnani. The appellant is running an oil mill in the name of
K. P. Oil Mills at Ponnani. On 11-11-2011, the APTS team along with the KSEB
officials inspected the premises of the appellant and detected the ‘Y’ phase
voltage to the CT meter found missing. On the basis of the inspection, the
appellant was issued a provisional assessment bill for Rs. 62,675/- on 6-12-
2011. The appellant filed an objection before the Assistant Engineer, Electrical
Section, Ponnani which was disposed after conducting a hearing and issued a
final bill amounting to Rs. 1,91,549/-. The appellant filed an appeal petition,
after remitting the 50% of the bill amount, before the Deputy Chief Engineer,
Tirur, who confirmed the bill amount. Still not satisfied with the decision, the
appellant approached CGRF, Kozhikode with a petition as numbered OP
46/2014-15 and the same was dismissed since the case comes under Section 126 of Electricity Act 2003. Against the order of CGRF, Kozhikode, the appellant filed this appeal before this Authority on 18-06-2015. Since both the parties agreed to settle the dispute the petition is disposed of directing the respondent to revise the assessment for Rs. 62,625.00 as requested by the appellant. |
