The energy meter of the consumer has shown abnormal consumption. The meter was tested and found that the existing meter is recording more than the actual consumption. The request to revise the previous bills was allowed with effect from the date of application of the consumer only, by the CGRF. The consumer has requested to refund or adjust in his future bills the excess electricity charges remitted by him during the entire meter faulty period which was found justifiable and hence allowed

The Anti-Power Theft Squad of KSEB detected some anomalies on the meter like, Meter seal break, duplicate seal and non- recording of energy in the meter of the consumer. The consumer was served with a penal bill and later the supply was disconnected as the consumer failed to remit the bill. The consumer challenged the calculation of short assessment bill issued to him.

The KSEB officials inspected the premises of the industrial consumer and found that the CT ratio was wrongly taken and monthly bills were issued accordingly. Thus the previous bills to the consumer were raised only for half of the actual energy he has consumed. Hence a short assessment bill was served to the consumer-Supplementary bill to recover the loss.
