Misuse of electricity by tapping from one electric connection to another, both owned by the same consumer - P/331/2012 – Mymoona Khader Kunju, Oachira.
The grievance has arisen out of the detection of extension of wire from one premise to another and the charges levelled against the consumer is under section 135 and the penal assessment made is under section 126 of the Electricity Act 2003. Complaints pertaining to the said sections are not maintainable before the CGRF and Electricity Ombudsman, as per clause 2 91)(f)9vii)(1) (CGRF & Electricity Ombudsman) Regulations, 2005. Petition remanded to the AE, the assessing officer to review the case and decide afresh as per law.
