On 23.03.2017, the Anti Power Theft Squad of Kottayam unit and officials of Electrical Section Meenadam jointly inspected the premises of the appellant and detected that the B-phase meter was not recorded in the CT operated energy meter due to missing of contact consequent to accumulation of rubber dust on one of the CT secondary terminals (B- phase). A site mahazar was prepared, a short assessment bill amounting to Rs. 3,01,177/- was issued for a period from 02/2016 to 03/2017 for the portion of the energy consumed. decide to quash the short assessment bill amounting to Rs. 3,01,177/- issued to the appellant. The respondent is directed to revise the bill for the consumption for the period of 6 months prior to the inspection dated 23-03-2017.
