 Shifting of WP service wire drawn to a consumer, across the property of another person, when the consumer has his own road to draw the line– P/248/2011 – R. GopinathaNaik, Kochi-11.

| The overhead service line of neighbour was drawn across the plot of the complainant, rubbing the house wall and intertwined with his service line. The cause of the petition is that though the respondent shifted the service wire after erecting a support post, a portion of the service wire is still crossing the property and KSEB refuses to shift the whole line to road, reason cited being due to protest from others including the beneficiary. |
| Dispute over the calculation of average monthly consumption during the meter faulty time and its period – P/237/2011 – L.Leelamony, Palarivattom, Kochi.

| The existing meter of the consumer was faulty which recorded (in the test meter) three times the true energy consumption. The request to refund the amount paid as electricity charges during the meter faulty period was not considered by the Board. The CGRF has assessed the monthly energy consumption and ordered to adjust the excess amount remitted in future bills. The dispute is regarding the calculation of monthly average assessed by the CGRF, its period and refund of the amount with interest rather than adjustment in future bills. |
| Change of tariff of a Milk Processing unit from industry to commercial tariff and issuance of short assessment bill – P/162/2010 – K.C. John, Kozhikode

| Based on an audit report, the tariff of the consumer was changed to commercial rate from the existing industrial one with retrospective effect and a short assessment bill issued. It was found that the consumer’s dairy farm was continuing in LT IV tariff, even after the tariff revision order issued, in which the tariff of milk processing plants, having their freezing, cold storage or chilling load more than 20% of the plant’s total connected load, were to be shifted under commercial from industrial tariff.Dispue with KSEB. |
