The appellant has submitted application to Tirur Electrical Section for the change of tariff from LT 7A to LT 1A. On site inspection by the officials of the Licensee, it is noted that the said building is used as a lodge and not for domestic purpose. The rooms were rented out to the labours from other State for monthly rent. The Licensee has not changed the tariff as this building was not using for the domestic purpose. The appellant filed petition to the CGRF (NR) and issued order dated 29-09-2022, stating that the tariff of said connections are to be continued in LT VIIA tariff. The appellant filed appeal petition before this Authority and the decision is taken as follows: 1) Agree with the order vide OP No.61/2022-23 dated 29.09.2022 of Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (NR).

The Licensee has not applied the tariff change as the case was pending in the Court. A demand for Rs.46,563/- was raised by the Licensee on 09-11-2020 for a period from 01-06-2008 to 02/2010 and the consumer paid the amount. During the periodical audit conducted by the Regional Audit Office, it was found that the tariff difference with interest was not fully recovered and accordingly a bill was issued for Rs.72,606/-. The appellant contented the short-assessment claim. The appellant filed petition to CGRF (CR) and ordered that the bill is to be revised by deducting the interest from 11/2020 to 10/2021 and the petitioner is liable to pay this amount as per the revised bill. The appellant filed the appeal petition to this Authority and the decision is taken as follows: 2) Agree with the order vide OP No.40/2022-23 dated 30.09.2022 of Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CR).

The arrears for the period from 06/08/2009 to 05/02/2010wasremained as unclaimed since the case was pending in the Apex Court. On getting the final judgment from the Apex Court, the Licensee started raising the arrear bills for the difference in tariff. Accordingly, a demand notice for Rs.13,559/- has been raised and the same has been paid by the appellant. The Regional Audit wing on conducting the audit found out the mistake in assessing the arrear demand. A short payment bill amounting to Rs.64,146/- for the period from 06/08/2009 to 05/02/2010 has been issued to the appellant. The appellant approached CGRF (CR) and ordered to revise the demand by deducting the interest from 11/2020 to 10/2021 and the petitioner is liable to pay the amount as per the revised bill. The appellant filed the appeal petition to this Authority and the decision is taken as follows: 1) Agree with the order vide OP No.39/2022-23 dated 30.09.2022 of Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CR).
