Can Ombudsman entertain cases related to Theft and Misuse of Electricity?

Answer

No. The KSERC Regulations say that the complaints related to Unauthorised use,Offences and penalties and Electrical Accidents shall not be entertained by the CGRF and Ombudsman.Thus issues related to Section 126,135 to 139 of the Electricity Act 2003 can not be raised before CGRF and Ombudsman.
