The consumer was served with an exorbitant bill under LT VIIA commercial tariff. He complaints meter fault and requested to waive off the excess charges levied in the bill.

The consumer was having an electric connection and the bills were issued under domestic tariff till October 2006 and from November 2006 to October 2008, she was billed under commercial tariff. This anomaly was noticed in October 2008 and the consumer filed a petition to rectify the anomaly and to refund the excess amount collected under commercial tariff. Accordingly KSEB changed the tariff to domestic after inspection but rejected to refund the excess amount collected.
High connected load fixed by the KSEB- request to refund the excess amount paid towards the fixed charges –P/225/2011 – R. Vijaychandran Nair, Alappuzha.

The consumer was running a medical shop which has an electric connection under commercial tariff. The shop was closed and the consumer was remitting the fixed charges in every bi-month for the last one year. He realized that the remittance of fixed charges are at a high rate due to the high connected load of his shop. The connected load was reduced as per his request and monthly fixed charges were reduced accordingly. The consumer has requested the refund of the excess fixed charges remitted with retrospective effect.
